1. My scooter is not working at all.
Check to make sure all switches are on.
If the battery is charged and the key or toggle switch has been checked to make sure it is in the on position and all of the wiring looks normal it is possible that the controller unit has went out. The controller unit can be easily replaced by contacting our tech support team. Click Here. Before e-mailing tech support or calling them, take a quick look at the white quick release connectors that are on the wires coming out of your controller under the foot plate at the front of the scooter. Make sure none of the wires have came unplugged.
We have a safety kill switch built into the X-140 brake handle. During shipment the safety switch sometimes becomes engaged. This is a simple one time fix. Simply loosen up the brake adjustment just a little on the handle bar by turning the brake adjuster on the brake handle in towards the brake handle. This will loosen the tension on the adjustment and safety switch and your scooter will start to work perfectly. You can test the safety switch by putting your scooter on a bench so the rear wheel is not contacting the ground to prevent an accident, then follow the wires coming out of the brake handle down under the foot plate, look on the left side of the battery's under the foot plate and you will find those wires plugged into a plug. Simply unplug those wires marked Brake, then twist the throttle with the switch turned on and the rear wheel will start to spin. This is a good way to eliminate the safety switch as being the problem. Make sure you plug the safety switch back in after doing this test to prevent future accidents while riding the scooter.
You must have the toggle switch that is located on the side of the frame turned on. If the toggle switch is not turned on the scooter cannot be charged. There is a bright yellow sticker next to the toggle switch that indicates to turn on the switch when you are ready to charge the scooter. Make sure to turn the switch off after you are done charging it. This will prevent the batteries from becoming drained if the scooter is not used for more than 3 or 4 weeks at a time. The switch on the handle grip does not need to be turned on in order to charge the scooter.
If this does not fix the problem, remove the 4 screws to the footplate, then remove the footplate on the scooter. Check the connectors coming out of the small controller located at the front of the scooter. Make sure that all of your wires are connected together and also check to make sure the wires going to the batteries are connected properly.
